What's Going on at NVfNP? (Wednesday, 11/13/24)

For The Your (Real Life) Future
I haven't been releasing these on time. Whoops. Not much was really done this last session. I released a video that was recorded early October, and did some more ROTT (and some gmod stuff sitting in my backlog). Should've done Facade, could've done Facade, but I didn't. I'll do that eventually. Eventually...

As usual, the vids are below, as well as some cool announcements for what'll come next.

Dark War E1A3 (Earrape Warning)

Well, now what?

Well, this next session will be the start of... oh boy, another Duke Nukem 3D playthrough attempt. I think I managed to somewhat beat my fear of Protozoid Slimers... I think. I'm gonna try to keep this one going, I promise.

To make it a lot more painful, I'm going to be playing the original executable in DOSBox. Not with keyboard only, however - I'm not that crazy. The mouse aiming will be bad enough.

The overall format will be the same as ROTT's, one level per video. They won't be as hard to edit, though, because I'm quite familiar with DN3D's levels at this point, meaning there'll be considerably less faffing about. At least I hope so, or else things will be rather embarrassing.

When are you guys doing multiplayer stuff again, you pillocks?

I know no one asked this (especially not in such a rude manner), but the big reason why we haven't done anything co-op in a while is because Moth lacks both their own Steam account and their own computer. In all previous multiplayer vids, they've been using Lux's computer and account, and a lot of the time he's not quite Mr. Sharing-Is-Caring. It, among other problems, made arranging Lambda Adventures playthroughs, etc. a nightmare, so I've put all that stuff on pause until Moth has what they need.

When all's said and done, there'll be considerably less videos of me going around with voices in my head*, so I hope somebody out there's looking forward to that.

*with exception to ROTT and DN3D vids, because A. even in the re-release, ROTT doesn't support co-op, and B. my colleagues would have to buy Duke, and coordinating that would be difficult. Plus, they find it funny sitting back and watching me suffer, so yea.
